About me (and her)
I was diagnosed with dyspraxia (developmental coordination disorder) as an adult.
It answered 35 years’ questions, bringing great relief, enhancing my understanding, and allowing me to make adjustments with confidence. My adolescent daughter has been diagnosed too, bringing clarity to her challenges – many similar to mine.
Like Tourette’s and dyscalculia, dyspraxia receives far less attention than the three better-known forms of neurodiversity: autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
I decided to create this simple site to help people understand what dyspraxia is, how it can affect those who live with it, and how life can be made that little bit easier by making accommodations.
My blog is based on my lived experience of dyspraxia.
If you’re an educator, employer, clinician, or podcaster who would like to benefit from my lived experience, I am available to provide dyspraxia-related services in person or online.
